Rattle N Hum, Midtown East

Continuing our series of Good Beer Seal bar posts: Rattle N Hum in Midtown.

Rattle N Hum is in midtown Manhattan and is often uncomfortably crowded and excessively loud. It is, however, a short walk from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden so it’s pretty much one of the only places in the area to grab a quality beer and a bite before catching a train or a game.

The beer list is impressive and the menus are well thought out with beers separated by style and each listed with its ABV, size, price, and some tasting notes. Local breweries are often represented along with some of the more difficult to find beers. If you want to enjoy Rattle N Hum at a slower pace make sure to visit earlier in the day, such as in the morning or early afternoon.

Rattle N Hum is located at 14 East 33rd St in Midtown and is open from 11 a.m. seven days a week. Closest subways are the 6 at 33rd Street, the B, D, F, M, N,Q and R trains at Herald Square and the 1, 2, 3, A, C and E trains at Penn Station.
