Barrier and Singlecut Take Over Mugs Ale House

Barrier Brewing Co. and Singlecut Beersmiths will take over the taps at Mugs Ale House in Williamsburg on Saturday, November 15. The two popular local brewers will be bringing some of their best and most interesting beers to one of the oldest craft beer bars in the city. The variety shown by the two brewers is impressive. Styles range from IPA to milk stout to kolsch and each brewer will bring a cask beer. Smite the Brite at Threes Brewing

Brooklyn’s newest brewing operation, Threes Brewing, in Gowanus, is getting ready to open its doors to the public in the hopefully not too distant future. While there isn’t an opening date set yet, there is a chance to try some of their beers this Saturday, November 8, at a “Smite the Brite” event. Beginning at noon, the brewery will be serving up barbecue from from Delaney BBQ and working through some of the fresh beer from its brite tank. Attendees will get a chance to taste their Single Tree IPA and can reserve a growler to take home for $10.

#HashoftheTitans With Goose Island

Through tomorrow, November 7, Goose Island is partnering with doNYC, the “place to find out what to do in New York City,” holding a Twitter game called #HashoftheTitans. Each day at 1 p.m., Goose Island will tweet out a hashtag theme for the day. To enter the contest, tweet a hashtag back along the theme. So far there have been some awesome themes and tweets.
